Grow in Community

Do you feel on your own when it comes to self-development?

Do you sense your potential is not being fully realized? That you could “level up” in work and life?

Do you find it hard to find the time and space to prioritize your self-development?

Do you want to learn and grow, but don’t know where to focus for greatest impact?

Do you believe your community has insight to help you unlock, but don’t know how to access it?

Then you’ve found the right PLACE

What awaits you in the Mine

Why do women need this?

Self-awareness has been coined “the meta-skill of the 21st century.”

Research shows that when you are self-aware, you have stronger relationships, are better at managing (and being managed), run more successful businesses, and are happier and more satisfied with your life. Historically, self-awareness has been an individual pursuit: we’ve been on our own to discover our deepest values and our value, why we do things, what we love. But, contrary to expectation, research shows that the more we introspect the less self knowledge we have!

Sense of self is actually an incredibly complex construct—a triangulation of how we see ourselves, how others see us, and who we aspire to be.

FEEDBACK IS A CRUCIAL COMPONENT OF SELF-AWARENESS

Understood this way, we realize that it is impossible to achieve self awareness, or to close the gap between who we are and who we want to be, without deep insight—feedback— from the people around us. And while useful, actionable, unbiased feedback is a rarity across the board, research shows that “women receive harsher feedback, more personality feedback, and less constructive or actionable feedback than their male counterparts. This has been true even when the women are top performers.”

Put simply: although women are more likely to pursue self awareness, they are at a significant disadvantage when it comes to getting and making use of the inputs required to fully realize their highest purpose and impact. The Mine exists to change that—to give women agency to make self awareness their superpower.

Featured testimonials

  • “[My work in the Mine is] something that I'll carry forever, a kind of insight into how I'm showing up and a new prism through which to view my life. That happens a few times in your life if you’re lucky. Most people spend 20 years in therapy to get what I got from the Mine in three months.”

Elise K, Executive Director, Global Justice Non profit

  • "[The Mine] has been so helpful in identifying what I'm good at and what I love — not just what other people are telling me I am good at — but what I really want to spend my time doing. It's been life-changing, and life-affirming."

Karie R, Founder, Interior Design Studio

  • “This experience has helped me get to such a happier place in my life. My human being in January is so different from my human being right now. And, you know, 30 years of therapy hasn't gotten me anywhere near close to this…I know who I am now, who I want to be, and how I want to live my life. All of this has challenged me to [realize that ] I can actually make these changes.”

why is it called the mine?

We are all like precious gemstones, each one unique and extraordinary.

Our feedback platform, "Loupe," is named after the specialized lens used by gemologists to examine the finely-cut facets of these rare stones. "The Mine" is the place where these gems are collected, and the challenging but rewarding process of delving into that place to discover the full depth of your own self knowledge.
